Dearly beloved squaddies: OK, I know some of you are really putting in effort into this CCA. Thank you, I appreciate that tons. I know some of you are really putting in effort but are just not that good in first aid and footdrill and such. Understandable, you just need more practice and I hope Minicomp and DTC can help you with that. I'm aware that some of you are intending to quit St Johns next year. Guess I can't stop you, no matter how hard I try. And I can see why you think there's no point in putting in effort since you're going to a different CCA anyway. Still, you have to get through these last few months of 2008 before anything can be done about the CCA change. So the point is: WHY DO YOU WANT TO MAKE THESE LAST FEW MONTHS DIFFICULT FOR YOU AND FOR OTHER PEOPLE AS WELL???? OK, I know that some of you hate to time but have you ever realised that the more you don't time, the more you'll have to time because you are loaded with more pumpings, crunches and sumo claps. And WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE NOT DIGGING YOUR HEELS WITH YOU MARCH????? Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. I'm sure the dark blues don't want to do this. They don't want to be stuck commanding and screaming at us while we give them lousy footdrill or wait for us to slowly absorb stuff during first aid lesson. But it's the responsibility the yellows left for them and if they don't do it well... I'm pretty sure (no, I'm CERTAIN) that they don't want to pass out full of regrets and disappointments. This is also to those who are not intending to quit but think CCA is a chore, a hassle, torture or whatever as well. Because I believe your ultimate goal is to just become a ma'am and so-called 'slack'. So why make the journey so much tougher (when it already is tough) for yourselves and other people as well?? You will not benefit from it at all if this whole so-called 'sabo-ing' thing keeps going on. In fact, you'll suffer and make your squadmates and seniors suffer also at the same time. I don't see why, if this is really your purpose, you can't (and don't want to) just do your best and help yourselves? If you do everything (or just most things for now) right, our seniors won't scold and punish us because they won't have a reason to do so and they don't like doing it anyway. And we also need to improve, stat, cos in less than a year's time, we'll have to train others. If we're so lousy, how can we teach our future juniors? That'll make them lousy too and the standard would just keep falling and falling and everyone would just break down, I tell you. I know that I'm sounding completely naggy and that I just don't get you. Fine. Maybe I don't cos I have no idea how or what you think. Maybe you'll think I'm being a bit suck up, writing this letter and giving it to you to motivate and make you enthu. I don't know but I wouldn't say that I don't care. Which is just not like me. I don't know why. Maybe I'm just too tired to resist and hold back any longer. I just can't take this anymore, OK? And I am dreadfullly sorry if this offends anyone at all who might be reading this. You might think I'm only posting this because I don't want to 受苦 any longer. OK, I admit that it's partially because of that. I'm not in denial. We can't go on like this any longer, squaddies. Soon we'll have juniors to teach and then we'll have to represent our school and our zones in all those camps and competitions that are to come. Don't just think of now, you have to look out for the future. Are you telling me that we'll have to showcase our lousy footdrill and nursing and first aid to the judges when we're there????? Are we going to be 害群之马s and lose every single award and trophy our seniors worked so hard to achieve??? ARE WE EVER GOING TO HAVE JUST ONE PERSON BE SATISFIED WITH OUR WORK AND PERFORMANCE AND PROGRESS???I don't need you to like me. I don't need you to be able to talk freely to me although I would much prefer it to be that way. I just need you to shout your timing, try not to fall out, do your drills and first aid perfectly (or almost perfectly, for now) and basically just co-operate, kays? I don't see why you can't since all our seniors are doing that. And don't give me lame excuses like 'they are better what!' or 'they got more experience!' or stuff like that. I'm pretty sure that they were marching straight and saying their timings loud and clear when they were our age. So please just... try, OK? It's for your and everyone else's own good. Love Love, Your squadmate
